Balancing Health is up to you.

In this episode, Meredith Keith-Chirch of M for Health, joins for a chat about holistic lifestyle choices to support personal intuitive health.

Leading up to the interview, I conducted my usual research of the guest and felt the topic of health could easily slip into a full conversation about body image, diets, weight loss and associated topics. I emailed Meredith with my concerns. Her response let me know she would be a great guest:

I really appreciate your mentioning this concern. I definitely do not focus on weight loss or temporary diets in my work with health coaching, so I’d love to know which parts of my website and/or social media gives that impression so that I can remedy that. I have written/spoken about different eating “trends” so-to-speak, because I get a lot of questions about those from folx. However, I do not advocate a lifestyle that focuses on weight loss because it doesn’t really address what I find is important in life — overall happiness and joy based on someone’s whole life health and not what they look like.

I agree with the values of your podcast completely in terms of everyone needing to find what works for them individually. I don’t believe that there are “right” and “wrong” answers in life — people’s needs are more complicated than that for sure. I was originally drawn to your podcast from the start because of the variety of perspectives that you’ve presented on your show.

Health is about all the small choices we make through the day, the habits we hold and the values that drive them. We weigh the option and make the choices for ourselves.

In this episode, after getting to know Meredith, and a great tangent about living car free, we discuss how important is it to look at our health outside of cultural expectations and social norms to find our individual balance.

We touch on friend, family and work pressures,

the benefits and flexibilities of routine,

and how it all starts with one small change.

Episode Tangents include:

  • Going car free
  • Filtering influences
  • Upholding values
  • Setting up boundaries
  • Advocating for your sleep
  • Balancing with family
  • Surviving holidays
  • Finding community
  • Testing different strategies
  • Listening to yourself
  • & More
