Who is Jorge Robleto?

Jorge is a Canadian living in Freiburg, Germany. The son of Latin American immigrants in Canada, he grew up between two worlds: The culture of his parents, and that of Canada. He’s lived in both the English and French-speaking parts of Canada, Costa Rica, Texas, and now Germany.

He started the podcast, The Canadian Wants to Know to help English learners improve their listening skills. Instead of simply talking about grammar and vocabulary (boring zzz) he decided it would be more interesting to ask questions and interview people with stories to tell.

He’s a Business English teacher, podcaster, and YouTuber. When he’s not in front of a screen, he’s chopping wood in the Black Forest. Follow on Instagram.

Meghan (host of Balancing Cultures) was also a guest on Jorge’s podcast to talk about

“Finding Home” – Here are the show notes

with comprehension questions and vocabulary list to help English language learners practice their listening skills.
